1986 - Margaret Greinke
Greinke has been an active leader in the Tustin community
for over a quarter of a century. Some highlights of her
involvement include being chairman of Tustin 's citywide
60th Anniversary Celebration (which included a dinner
serving 5,000, quilt show, El Camino Real Chili Cook-off
and various other contests), president of the Tustin Area
Historical Society and active involvement in the Tustin
Lions Club, Tustin Chamber of Commerce, Tustin Women in
Chamber of Commerce and the John Tracy Guild.
She is the 1986 Tustin Area Woman of the Year. "God has
blessed me so abundantly; I feel the need to share those
blessings by giving my time and energies to my communities
of Tustin and Orange," she shared.
With her husband Frank, who is a former Tustin mayor,
they founded the Greinke Petroleum Corp. in Tustin. Later,
as the company grew, it was renamed Southern Counties
Oil Co. Margaret served as secretary-treasurer for 20
years and became chairman of the board in 1991. Born and
raised in Los Angeles, Margaret has lived in Orange County
since 1965. She married
